: Finding there is a an organization of the
survivors of the Drexler. My brother, Kenneth Dale Gruber,
Fireman 1st cl, went down with the ship 1 days after he turned
24 yrs. old. I was 11 at the time and have grieved over his
lose since then. I was so glad |

remember the heros/those who gave their lives at the time of
the sinking. What a joy it would be to know someone who
remembers him!! |

: I enjoyed after all these years, finding out
what actually happened to the Drexler. I had a very dear
friend who was one of the missing in action,and now I know
just what happened to him. I also know he was a hero.

father was aboard the ship. He was a radarman on duty when the
ship was hit. He watched the planes come in on the radar
screen. The headphones pulled him back so he was unable to go
