MEMBERSHIP: requirement for membership shall include persons who are:
1. Survivors of the USS Drexler and their families.
2. Family members and friends of our causalties.
3. Friends and persons interseted in out reunion assoc. Who are willing
to participate in the camaraderie & social events of the assoc.
PURPOSE: To assist the families
of the casualties and survivors in supplying information concerning the
events of the USS Drexler.
2. To carry out programs that perpetuate the memory, in particular, our casualties and those survivors who are now deceased,and in general all who served and are serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
3. To provide social and recreational activities for our memebers.
FINANCING: This assoc. Will be financially supported with funds from the following sources: 1. Donations. 2. Profit form the sale of reunion related items such as caps, bumper-stickers, photographs, raffles, etc.. 3. No dues will be required for membership. 4. The money we receive will be used for paying expenses incurred in runing the assoc. Business such as postage, stationery, copying, supplies, etc.. OFFICERS: The officers of
this assoc. Shall consist of
1. PRESIDENT and VICE-PRESIDENT, CHAPLIN,
SECRETARY-TRESURE(sic), HISTORIAN, who will serve permanently unless indicated
otherwise by the office holder.
2. An ADVISORY BORAD composed of three members
elected for a term of three years staggered so that one member of the board
will be elected each year.
REUNION LOCATION AND DATES:
1. Our assoc. Will schedule our reunion annually in May on the week-end
dates that fall between Mother's Day and Memorial Day. The reunion shall
be held as near to U.S. naval facilities as possible.
DISBANDMENT: In the event this assoc. Disbands, the money left after payent of all expenses will
be given to any charitable organization related to the U.S. Navy suce as
The Navy League, USN Memorial in Wash. DC, Nimitz Museum in Texas, Vetrans
Hospitals, etc..
CHANGES AND ALTERATIONS:
Any change or alteration of this document may be done by a majority vote
of the members at the annual meetings.
